The Best Role in My Life: Grandma

The best thing happened to me in 2020. I love my children.  Any mother would live and die for their children.  However, my first grandbaby was born in 2020 and a kind of love came alive in me that I didn't realize was inside, ready to burst out of my heart and land on a tiny baby. Being a grandmother is such a special relationship. I always say that I adore my children, but this little girl farts skittles, glitter, unicorns and rainbows, and I tell her the sun shines out of her little bum.

Don't even get me started on how much I enjoy taking pictures of her. My kids spent their childhood with mom constantly taking pictures of them as I elevated my photography skylls.  Now that I'm nearly 20 years in to the pro-photography thing, putting all these skills to good use with my grand-daughter - could there be anything more fun? 

Her parents don't want her likeness on any online places or social media, so I don't show her little face.  So here is the back of her head at 6 months, 1 year, and 2 year photo sessions. The back of her head is even adorable. She has her dad's head of hair.

I love to see her as often as I can. I cannot get enough of her.
